Can I just say how much these guys make my day?

(squee! ♥)

In other news, I saw Star Trek again with my friends. It wasn't as wonderful the second time around, but I still enjoyed it thoroughly. (And this time I was paying attention for Majel's voice).

Also - question for my Trekkie friends: Were the blue jumpsuit uniforms at the beginning (the ones they were wearing on the U.S.S. Kelvin) showing the transition from the NX-01 ("Enterprise" era) uniforms to the TOS-era uniforms?

I also read the first two books of The Southern Vampire Mysteries (you know, the Stookie Stackhouse books), and my mom and I bought the first season of True Blood on DVD (plus a free t-shirt!), so I am gonna watch those soon. Also - I'm going to catch up on Fringe. I am extremely behind (as in, only-seen-episode-one behind).

How is everyone else doing? I am gonna go catch up on my flist.

What's up? The reason you may have seen me floating around a lot of LJ recently is cuz I'm kinda on bed-rest. I can't really do anything except watch TV (which... I really haven't been doing, but I should cuz I need to catch up on NCIS and start 30 Rock) and play online so... I've been playing online for so long I think mushrooms have grown on my feet. I NEED TO MOVE MAH ASS.

In addition, in between joining [info]ontd_lost and [info]ontd_startrek my flist looks like

IT'S TOO MUCH AT ONCE.

Speaking of Star Trek, I've been watching some good old Star Trek: Deep Space Nine today. I love this show - well... more specifically I love Bashir and O'Brien and their epic BFF-ness (I do not slash them, but I love them as friends ♥ THEY ARE THE CUTEST EVER OMG).

I think the reason I haven't completely dived into the new Star Trek (XI) fandom is because it's so freaking active right now omg it's intimidating. TOO MUCH GOING OOOON. First, I need to get me some XI icons. I'll do that later.

My brain is still on LOST too. Yeah. Still melted crispy after the finale. I will make a spec post at some point I'm sure since I've been thinking about it a lot. I think I've figured out some stuff... Hmmm...

Anyway, I'll comment more on the flist tonight. Right now I need to get away (away!!) from my computer for a while.

How is everyone else doing?

WELCOME NEW FRIENDS!!! [info]rain_dances, [info]lilychick, [info]crashedyellow, [info]fantasticpants, [info]giventofly37, [info]dawnie1970 and [info]thisissirius!!! MANY HUGS TO YOU ALL. And I must apologize for any brain-damage you get from my journal now or in the future.

AND HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO [info]leggyslove AND [info]lunacat!!!!!! I promise I am working on surprises for the both of you... *maniacal cackle*

Damn, I haven't updated in forever. I guess that's because nothing much has been happening. Mostly been chilling at home; having movie/tv marathons. FUN!

First, I got my friend Sean into "Star Trek: DS9" (omfg I'm addicted to it and "Star Trek: TNG" again. ♥ ♥ ♥); so we decided to have a Colm Meaney-a-thon. SO RANDOM YET WONDERFUL. So we watched The Commitments and Layer Cake, which were both awesome movies I had never seen before. And Colm Meaney rocks so hard. I remember when he guest-starred on "Stargate: Atlantis" I was dying from laughing so much. I can just see him as nothing but "O'Brien". Oh, Colm Meaney ♥
We're thinking of doing an Armin Shimerman-a-thon later by watching "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer" and LOLing in the process. Or maybe having an Alexander Siddig-a-thon (because I ♥ Dr. Bashir).
Maybe after we finish up on DS9 actors we'll move on to TNG. Maybe a Patrick Stewart-a-thon (but that might take a really long time...).

We also had a Jurassic Park (Dennis Nedry brings on the LAWLZ) and Terminator marathon -- watching all three movies from each trilogy. I DON'T KNOW WHY. I felt compelled, and I love all those movies (well, nevermind. The Lost World and Jurassic Park III aren't the best.....). But The Terminator still kicks so much ass after all these years. And seriously, the graphics for Terminator 2: Judgment Day are amazing for 1991. Another weird note, I totally didn't remember that Xander Berkeley was in T2. When I saw him, I was all "GEORGE MASON!!!" hahaha, he died though. ;_;
Next on the Trilogies-To-Watch List is.... DIE HARD (soon to be four-parter(?)). And Back to the Future. And possibly Lord of the Rings, although I've seen them a million times.

Other than that, I have mostly been wasting my life. Making icons for [info]heroes_icons100 and some other random fandoms (hey, that rhymes!).

I'm still trying to get a new layout design. I am so indecisive. I switched back to my LCARS design for the moment because I am in such a "Star Trek"-mood. ♥ I may end up making a multi-fandom layout. It's the only thing I can think of. ;_;

... and I have a bunch of memes I need to do one day. And a picspam. And some other stuff.

Furthermore, I thought I would rank the season finales this year (from best to worst) now that I've gotten a chance to see them all... at least the ones I care about.
SEASON FINALES!!! OMFG - Spoilers )

Annnnnd how about two random sketches I did yesterday??? I never post art because I haven't drawn in like a year and I suck so bad right now soooo here some is.

My iconic duck cartoon -- I used to do this little guy all the time. I only draw him about 10 seconds. Very fast sketch )

And another cracked out cartoon -- kinda based off of myself. )

I may post more in the future after I practice. I need to get back into the drawing thing.

Final Note:

IT NEVER GETS OLD. LMFAO.

This post was looooooong. And see? I warned you all. I HAVE NO LIFE. ;_;
